|It’s not for just anybody that we hop into our home studios on a Saturday to make a bonus episode, but Barrie Hardymon and I chatted about children’s author Beverly Cleary, whose death at 104 gave us reason to reflect on how much we loved her books.
Monday’s show was an encore of our Die Hard episode, because there’s no wrong time to talk about that.
Tuesday’s show found me, Glen, and NPR’s own Eric Deggans chatting about The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, about which we had some mixed feelings two episodes in.
Wednesday’s show was a fascinating chat (I can say that because I wasn’t there) among Stephen, Christina Tucker, and critic Walter Chaw about Godzilla vs. Kong, which is a big monster movie but also a callback to some longstanding — and complicated — moviemaking traditions.
Thursday’s show kicked off our back-to-back Muppet episodes with me, Stephen, Aisha and Glen talking about our favorite Muppets and the Muppets we relate to the most.
Friday’s show found us talking about your 10 favorite Muppets, according to the thousands of you who filled out our poll. If you want to go deeper and read the list of your 25 favorite Muppets, with some commentary from all four of us, you can find that piece as well.
And guess what — Stephen was around for New Music Friday over at NPR Music.
